I focus on helping my clients intelligently plan for future financial goals. I bring 30-plus years of work experience to individuals, families and business owners who wish to better connect their values with their financial decisions and actions.

Prior to launching Rational Wealth Solutions, I worked in a variety of roles, including account management, life and long-term care insurance and mortgage advising, at several high-profile financial institutions. Earlier in my career, I led a number of entrepreneurial ventures. I believe this wealth of experience has enabled me to take complicated investment concepts and make them easier for clients to understand and apply to their lives.

The name of our company is partially inspired by Dennis Prager’s “Rational Bible” book series. These books are written with clarity and reveal so much wisdom and truth about what can be a very complex subject.

I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama (Roll Tide!), and have a bachelor’s degree in history, art history and literature from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside the office, I enjoy boating, travel, a good bourbon and cigars. I reside in Annapolis, Maryland, with my wife and dog. We have two adult daughters. We selected most photos on this website from my wife’s photography portfolio.
